Welcome to our NCCAH website.

Please visit our What's New page
for updates on the
H1N1 flu pandemic and Aboriginal peoples in Canada.

We invite you to find new and existing information here that’s relevant and useful concerning First Nations, Inuit and Métis public health in Canada. You will also find on this site news and updates about our activities. We at the NCCAH support Aboriginal communities across Canada in realizing their health goals and reducing the health inequities that currently exist for Aboriginal people.  (For general NCCAH resources, click here).

The NCCAH is part of the National Collaborating Centres for Public Health program supporting public health renewal in Canada. Our centre uses a coordinated, holistic and comprehensive approach to the inclusion of Aboriginal peoples in the public health system, guided by a respect for Indigenous knowledge and for the diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

Our relationships have resulted in many partnerships on key health initiatives with federal, provincial and territorial governments, Aboriginal organizations, our sister National Collaborating Centres, research organizations, non-government organizations, and communities across the country.

We hope you will join us in our efforts to share knowledge and make a difference in the health and well-being of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada.
